TITLE: Speech Language Pathologist
DEPARTMENT: Special Services
REPORTS TO:
Building Principal & Director of Special Education

 


POSITION SUMMARY:
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) evaluates students with communication disorders, assesses the impact these disorders have on the student’s educational performance, and establishes a course of intervention to support the student in working toward a successful educational experience.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

QUALIFICATIONS: 


EDUCATION:
Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited college or university.
EXPERIENCE:
Previous successful experience as a Speech Language Pathologist, working with students with a variety of communication disorders preferred. Work within public schools or public school systems preferred.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES:
Valid Washington State ESA Certificate to function as Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA is desirable. Valid WA State driver’s license and appropriate insurance required. Must maintain as current any certification or license listed herein and held at hire date.
CONTINUING EDUCATION/TRAINING:
That which is required to be effective in the position and to maintain knowledge as current

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Starting Date: 2024-2025 School Year (180 total contracted days)
Salary: $58,504 - $112.773 annual salary. Based on education and experience Per OEA CBA - 2024-2025 Salary Schedule 
Retirement: Pension through Washington State Department of Retirement Systems
