Job Description
- Drives bus on assigned routes in a legal and safe manner.
- Instructs students and teachers in emergency bus evacuation procedures twice a year.
- Instructs students in proper bus conduct.
- Reports misconduct on the bus through established district procedures.
- Fuels bus as needed.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure bus is in safe operating condition.
- Cleans bus interior and exterior as needed.
- Completes daily log forms and other paperwork as required.
- Other duties as assigned by the Transportation Department supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid Washington State School Bus Drivers Endorsement and current Washington State driver’s license.
- First Aid/CPR Card
- DOT Physical
- Ability to work well with others and promote a positive attitude
