Job Description
- Provide support services to building admin and building secretary.
- Receptionist, maintain files, clerical functions, student records input, at times help students with health related problems.
- Student breakfast and lunch related duties.
- Create daily bulletin.
- Setting up substitutes for their building as necessary using Absence Mgmt. software.
- Help cover office phone calls, parent requests, and assist with visitors.
- Set up scheduled meetings via Google Calendar.
- Writes routine reports and correspondence.
- Greet all patrons and employees and direct them accordingly to their visit.
- Carry out instructions/directions that are written, oral, or diagrams.
- Other duties as assigned by building principal and/or administrator.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School graduate, or GED.
- AA degree, or 48 semester credits or 72-quarter credits from an institution of higher education (level 100 class or higher), or having successfully passed the ETS ParaPro Assessment.
- Successfully pass a skill review in math, English and computer management, of which some is written and practical (Department Secretary Test)
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively with patrons or employees of organization.
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Physically able to occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty (20) pounds.
- Able to walk, stand, sit, stoop, bend, reach, kneel, crawl, and grasp as required to successfully perform all duties and requirements.
- Ability to adjust focus (adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus), clear vision at 20 inches or less, and clear vision at 20 feet or more.
- *Must pass Spanish proficiency test administered by OSD
Terms of Employment
Starting Date: February 3, 2025
Salary: Per CBA – Schedule A
Hours: 8.0 hours/day
Contracted Days: 185 work days & 7 holidays (192 total contracted days)
Retirement Pension through Washington State Department of Retirement Systems
